Since i posted the GBA version of Shin Akuma yesterday, i thought it might be fun to compare him to the Dreamcast version. He can’t combo into Raging Demon on Dreamcast, so here’s a recent combovid which focuses mainly on his double air fireball.
highlights:
SSF2T Shin Akuma double s.HK at 0:26, teleporting backwards attack setups at 0:56 and 1:00, and 10-hit redizzy combo at 1:22

wow, this is good stuff. i didnt know about the close st.HK->far st.HK link. some of this stuff isnt possible on the GBA version, i tried some of this stuff (not stealing it, this is my first time seeing this vid) when i was making my vid and player shin akuma isnt the same as CPU shin akuma like he is on the DC version. example- player shin akuma can not do c.MK->fierce shankensu hadouken on GBA.
when i have time, i need to pop in the DC version and see if corner “OTG” SRKs work after hurricane kicks though, i found that on GBA but i couldnt come up with a decent set up for it so i omitted it. you know how when you do DPs or hurricane kicks in the corner you get pushed away/they dont lift up as high and you lose hits (like @1:10 in this vid)? well after a HK hurricane kick shin akuma can do a fierce DP to opponents who appear to be laying on the ground in the GBA version.
also, god damn i forgot how much faster the DC version is than the GBA version. it makes comboing like that very impressive.
Yeah it’s pretty hard to find anything new in ST. I mean even though i liked this video, it was mostly standard stuff for Akuma. The main thing that caught my attention was that meaty double roundhouse combo.
