Whoever comes up with the best caption wins the SVC Chaos Official Fighter’s Guide. As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Tuesday.
RBFF2 Andy Choureppadan super squares off against Mai’s Cho Hissatsu Shinobibachi super. Real Bout Fatal Fury 2 is full of amazing sprite art, but the gameplay is fairly straightforward so most of these screenshots will be too.

A lot of the “light her fire” variations were funny in different ways, but the trouble with them was that it was impossible to separate one from the pack – so the clever name translation pun won out.

Also since today was a federal holiday, i had to use the automated station at the post office which meant my only option was a flat rate priority mail envelope. This past weekend while i was helping to clean up SCR, there was a mysterious leftover box of Tekken 6 promo Lars cards/coasters that they were gonna throw away. Seemed like a waste, so i took it and spent all of today driving to different arcades and distributing them to the owners to hand out to Tekken players.
Anyway i put as many as would fit in the envelope for you, since the shipping cost was fixed anyhow. Give them out to your friends or something.
I apologize for being late on replying, but I have received your package, but I am actually at college at the moment (home is 40 minutes away). I had my sister open the package because she initially noted it looked a bit banged up, but all the contents inside are safe and sound. Thanks a ton for the prizes, man.
I actually want to write up a retrospective of SVC Chaos on my Livejournal because it was the first fighting game I ever actually played to learn and there is a lot of funny noobish memories with that game too. I’ll send you a link about it when I finish it some time this week.
Cool, i’m glad to hear it arrived okay. I’m looking forward to your SvCC article as well. I can’t say i’m a huge fan of the game, but hey it did have a completely new Guile sprite, so that’s always a plus.
