PASBR Evo2k12 Panel Combo Video

Clockw0rk and i put together this combo video for the PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale panel at Evo 2012. We tried to show a broad range of basic and intermediate combos, with a couple of advanced ones at the end. When we noticed people searching for blurry stream rips after Evo, we decided to upload the original version to youtube. Personally, i can’t wait for the entire fighting game community to get your hands on this game and start showing us creative new combos!

Street Fighter X Tekken Captivate 2011 Trailers

Capcom-Unity just uploaded two SFxT trailers premiered at the Captivate 2011 event. The first one is a cinematic sequence featuring Ryu and Ken trying to fend off Kazuya and Nina.

The second trailer contains actual gameplay footage (sans lifebars or super meters) starring Kazuya, Nina, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Abel, Marduk, King, Chun Li, and Bob.

It looks like they were going for a Tekken-inspired juggle system, with ground bounces and OTGs in addition to team tagging and various air grab combos. However, the battles are fought on Street Fighter’s traditional 2D plane and there appear to be EX moves as well. The game certainly seems intriguing overall, but why does it look so grimy?

SSF4 3D Edition TV Commercial Featuring RedRapper

Capcom enlisted the help of community documentarian RedRapper in making their latest trailer for Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition on Nintendo 3DS. Take a look!

Like most television ads, the video contains nothing special from a gameplay standpoint, but it’s just awesome to know that this happened. Congratulations RedRapper!

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Galactus Boss Battle Trailer

The rumors are true – the final boss of Marvel vs Capcom 3 is none other than Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds! He plans to make Planet Earth his next meal, and it’s up to your team of three heroes to fight through his two chosen heralds and defeat him to prevent “Earth K.O.”

Apparently Galactus isn’t too fond of assists (0:50), has an 80% damage eye beam (1:00), plays a wicked air guitar (1:07), and has a 185-hit full-screen super (1:10). Nice!

KoFXIII Character Combo Videos (01.25)

The sixth set of King of Fighters XIII individual character combovids features the classic Psycho Soldier Team of Athena, Kensuo, Chin – and all kinds of glitter!

notes:
Athena, Chin, and Kensuo comprise the sixth batch. Athena has some interesting rejump combos, and what she lacks in damage, she makes up for in sparkles. In fact, none of them are shown to surpass the 80% damage mark in their combos.

KoFXIII Character Combo Videos (01.09)

The fifth set of King of Fighters XIII individual character combovids features Ash Crimson along with the original Women Fighters Team from KoF94. I was expecting these videos to be finished last year, but i guess they’re still going at a leisurely pace.

notes:
Ash, King, Mai, and Yuri comprise the fifth batch. None of them are shown to have full damage combos, or even reaching the 90% damage mark – although all three ladies seem to have various juggle setups. King’s stomp super lasts a little too long for my taste, but otherwise they all look pretty cool.

SSFIV AE Trailer Featuring Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma

Capcom just released this Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition trailer, with the Japanese arcade release two weeks away. It features some gameplay footage of Yun and Yang, but only momentary portrait shots of Evil Ryu and Shin Akuma.

What do you guys think? It’s basically what you’d expect: cinematic cuts, hype music, text overlays, and extended previews of new characters Yun and Yang. I’m sure we’ll be seeing gameplay footage of the evil Shoto twins before long.

KoFXIII Character Combo Videos (11.15)

The fourth set of King of Fighters XIII individual character combovids has finally been released by SNK’s Hong Kong branch. This batch covers the classic Art of Fighting team and the Ikari Warriors team – with plenty of high-powered damage to go around.

notes:
Clark, Leona, Ralf, Robert, Ryo, and Takuma make up the fourth batch. This time we’ve got Ryo with a full damage combo, along with everyone else reaching the 90% damage mark with the exception of Robert. By the way i’m really digging Takuma’s new look. He reminds me of the cheesy old karate master in Return of the Street Fighter.

KoFXIII Character Combo Videos (10.14)

This third set of King of Fighters XIII individual character combovids finally brings us up to date on all of them uploaded by SNK’s Hong Kong branch so far. This batch covers the oldschool Fatal Fury team and the dysfunctional team. Iori just can’t say “No” to crazy ladies apparently.

notes:
Iori, Vice, Mature, Kim, Hwa, and Raiden represent the third batch. Now we’ve got Iori with a full damage combo, along with Hwa, Kim, and Raiden hovering right around the 90% damage mark. Giving Vice a harpoon whip was a great idea by the way – an interesting dynamic for a grappler to possess.

Here’s the second set of King of Fighters XIII individual character combo videos uploaded by SNK’s Hong Kong branch in anticipation of the game’s console release.

notes:
Benimaru, Daimon, Kyo, K’, Kula, and Maxima comprise the second batch. This time around, Maxima is shown to have a 100% damage combo, with Daimon, Kyo, and K’ all coming very close with over 90% damage. K’ in particular looks very stylish, and Maxima’s escalating progression of crazy excessive weaponry is entertaining to say the least.
