This Street Fighter Alpha 2 screenshot took forever to capture. Custom Combo shadows are maddeningly uncooperative, not to mention CC startup wreaking havoc on input windows.
SFA2 Sakura activates Custom Combo facing left as Rolento jumps over her and activates his own Custom Combo. After a brief pause, Rolento’s HK Mekong Delta Escape -> j.D+MK meets Sakura’s backwards HP Shou’ou Ken as their CC timers expire.
Whoever comes up with the best caption wins an “Aura Blue” Arcade FightStick TE Keychain. As always, the rules are one entry per person and i’ll choose my favorite on Tuesday.
Here are some alternate variants i captured before settling on the final version above:
Surprisingly enough, the timing of the entire script changes dramatically between the bottom of Rolento’s scrolling stage and the top. For more on stage lag, please refer to SFZ2 Blog.
Pole Dancing
Ahh, that’s a tough one.
Title: Shadow Fighting
“Help me pogo jump higher!”
Loved how every number on screen is a zero.
“Cooperative Pole Vaulting”
That’s shaping up to be a pretty epic combo in the banner, there.
Haha thanks for noticing sir. It’s still got quite a ways to go before it’s complete, but i don’t want to spoil any surprises.
Cirque du Shadows
“Steadyyyy…”
Whoa, i just noticed a “New! See Maps in 3D” ad for google maps showing up randomly under the weekly screenshot sidebar area on the right. Haha it looks crazy because Rolento’s buildings and the ones in their photo look almost identical.
The construction on the Ginyu Brofist is coming along nicely.
Rolento Umbrella: Singing in the Steel Rain
“Rolentipop”
It has a disgusting musky sweaty flavour, but it explodes in mouth like popping candy!
Churning Sakura Butter
“Zero Gravity”
Aeris dies, Sakura soon after
“I think she got the point…”
A little modification on a James Bond classic for you :)
I’m sorry guys, i don’t know how the hell anyone was supposed to beat Rolento Umbrella: Singing in the Steel Rain. That’s just too damn advanced!
Bob Sagat: Please e-mail me your address and i’ll send out your prize within the next day or two. Congratulations!
Mission complete!
Your keychain is in the mail as of this afternoon, sir. Sorry about the delay; i’ve been all kinds of busy lately. Anyway i hope it arrives in perfect condition. Do me a favor and make a quick post when you receive it, yeah?
Received and attached to my keys!
Awesome, i hope you enjoy it sir.
That was the last of the keychains i had, so this finally takes care of that loose end.
