notes:
The challenge itself is fairly straightforward, although some characters will have an easier time with it than others. The contest will be judged based on originality, so try to be creative!

Pokey86 released a trio of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition quizzes a few days ago – mainly because he had some time to kill. Naturally, those brainteasers turned into an explanation video with tons of examples. If you haven’t taken the quizzes yet, take five minutes to do that first so you can enjoy this video to the fullest. Some of the solutions are very clever.

CvS2 Grappler Combo Challenge by Maj

You don’t see too many Capcom vs SNK series vids these days, but the games still have potential for interesting combos. Hopefully this challenge leads to a few never-before-seen discoveries.

notes:
Every character in Capcom vs SNK 2 has two normal throws, and quite a few have additional command throws. Everyone knows about Dan and Rolento being susceptible to OTG throws during A-Groove Custom Combos, but they become immune after almost all normal throws. The challenge is finding a way around that limitation to combo three or more unique throws.

Looking for more combo challenges? Here’s an open-ended one for just about any game you can think of. The only requirement is repeating the same special move four or more times in a combo.

notes:
The video contains three examples featuring MK9 Nightwolf, MvC3 Ryu, and MvC3 Chun Li. Every game is allowed with the exception of SF2 Rainbow Edition, SF4 Koryu Edition, and Mugen.

A month has gone by since Doopliss issued his “10%-or-less damage super” SF4-series challenge and he’s prepared a video to check off all submitted solutions in addition to filling in some blanks.

notes:
Finding valid solutions for all but four SSF4 characters was no small task, yet Doopliss managed to succeed (with Internet Assist). Click on the annotations at the beginning of the video to check out his favorite submissions, and watch the rest for the missing pieces.

Taking a break from recording alternate trial solutions, Doopliss came up with his own original challenge for Street Fighter IV players: “Do a 10%-or-less damage super.” Even though the rules are simple, the challenge itself is quite difficult for most characters. Give it a shot!

notes:
Even the example provided is very complicated, in terms of proper spacing and timing. However a lot of it depends on selecting the right characters, so choose wisely. Make sure you follow all of the rules and submit your response by May 15th, one month from tomorrow.

Who doesn’t enjoy fighting game bonus stages? 3rd Strike aficionado onReload wants to know if anyone out there can beat his high score of 84,000 bonus points on the car smashing stage. Well, what are you waiting for? Get to smashing!

notes:
Apparently Chun Li has an easy high score solution, because she’s the only character outlawed for this challenge. Everyone else is fair game. Personally i wouldn’t mind seeing an angry Makoto attempt, assuming K-Groove helps her smash faster.
