Combo artists from around the globe unite. The tradition of the Tekken Zaibatsu Community Project lives on. Started during Tekken 5, it is only fitting we do one for TTT2.

Highlights: High Damage tag combo @1:37; Near-death combo @2:10; Creative sandwich combo @2:48; SLOTH combo @3:39; Incredible “Dance of Death” bear combo @4:01

With the PC release of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, more players have gained access to high quality video and tool-assistance. Smileymike has been recording vanilla SF4 combos using a camcorder and a PS3 pad since the game out. Now he’s making the jump to direct capture and tool-assisted scripting. Check out the trailer below for a glimpse of his upcoming projects.

Normally i don’t post combo video trailers here, but this one has “Awesome” in the title! We’d heard about this project a little while ago, but i didn’t know it was going to be an Evo premiere. Yet another reason to head to Las Vegas for Evo 2011!

In an unexpected turn of events, desk has a blog now! According to the announcement video, it’s going to feature combo transcripts, system mechanics, and game engine articles. It’s fairly empty at the moment, but i’m excited to see what he has in store for us.

The trailer for this year’s Tekken 6 Community Project is out and it looks every bit as hype as you’d expect. Thirty combo makers from seventeen nations across five continents participated!

notes:
Even as a trailer, it weighs in at over five minutes and contains dozens of full combos. The intro is a little too long, but still under a minute which is nice. Further details about the project can be found in its Tekken Zaibatsu thread.

Apparently Snoooootch is working on a full-length Super Street Fighter IV superfreeze video spotlighting one special move from each character, slowed down via Makoto’s rage.

notes:
It’s pretty cool to get a glimpse of the capturing and editing process behind these videos. Obviously it’s very time-consuming, but the results are definitely interesting when featuring a character or move that you happen to like.

I don’t think i’ve ever seen anything like this before. It’s essentially a trailer for three different projects, while also serving as a personal introduction. An awesome idea, to say the least.
