SSF2 Bonus Stage Combo Video by izumojin

In a surprise twist, izumojin’s newest combovid takes place entirely on two bonus stages from the SNES version of Super Street Fighter II. The obstacles at the center of each stage prevent characters from drifting apart, enabling crazy long link combos without pushback limitations.

    I don’t understand what’s going on with Vega at the end. Why are his attacks mysteriously pulling opponents toward him?

    I asked him about Vega’s combos on u2b and this was his response via PM:

    “I am not good at English, is described in Japanese.
    (私は英語が得意ではないので、解説は日本語で行います)

    逆プッシュを引き起こすためには、攻撃が当たる前にレバーを後方に入れておく必要があります。
    ただし、ジャンプ攻撃で逆プッシュを引き起こすことはできません。”

    According to @nifty he’s saying that you have to tap Back before the attack connects to cause the reverse-push. And that it doesn’t work with jump attacks.

    But why does it only work with Vega? I carefully rewartched every hit in the video and none of the other characters cause that same effect while facing the opponent.

    The hit sounds of the first 10seconds seems to be matching with the music?

    Wow, i think you’re right – those hits seem to match almost perfectly. That would explain the first two clips, because otherwise they don’t seem to have a purpose.

    Anyway i totally agree, everything this guy does is great. Can’t wait to see which game he plans to explore next.
