These screens were captured from the PC version of Street Fighter 4, running on a relatively modest PC. The graphical settings are as high as they would go, but not the highest possible.
SF4 Ryu’s Metsu Hadoken explodes upon colliding with Dhalsim’s Yoga Catastrophe ultra and HP Yoga Inferno super, covering the entire screen with a motion blur shockwave.
SF4 C.Viper begins her Burst Time ultra as M.Bison prepares the Psycho Crusher portion of his Nightmare Booster ultra. Pinpointing the right spacing on this one took forever.
SF4 Guile provides an EX Sonic Boom then jumps away as Ken nullifies it with EX Hadoken, then EX Focus Attack dash cancels into the wake to initiate his Shinryuken ultra.
SF4 Guile throws an HP Sonic Boom as Sagat starts up an HK Low Tiger Shot. There’s nothing complicated or elaborate about this one, but i was trying to make Sagat look like he’s mimicking Guile’s Sonic Boom motion.

Basically everything is either default presets or as high as it would go, running at glorious 9 frames per second! (Imagine how long it took me to build meter for every attempt.) I’m unfamiliar with PC graphics voodoo so i couldn’t figure out why it wouldn’t allow me to enable anti-aliasing.
i’d enjoy seeing these screenshots at higher resolution if possible.
fx on these seem like over kill :)
Ah damn, i guess flickr changed their policy on that too. Back when i uploaded these, the “All Sizes” icon on each picture’s flickr page used to include the original native resolution 1280×720 lossless PNG file as well.
Now it only goes up to 500 width unless you pay for a pro upgrade. Looks like i need to find a new image host, or store them locally. It might take me a little while to find the right solution though.
man that is a shame :(
Rather than deal with the hassle of finding another image host, i’ve added archive download links to the first comment under each SF4 post. Enjoy!
