MvC1 has an elaborate glitch which allows two teammates to remain on the screen at the same time, sort of like a sustained Variable Cross duo. Blazt The Speakerz and CSVagrant have already released two combovids showcasing this concept. With the third one on the way, they’ve just re-uploaded the second installment in high quality.
highlights:
MvC Wolverine sneak attack after Spider-Man’s Web Ball at 3:42, double-Chun stompfest at 4:54, double-Zangief headbutt volleyball at 5:18, and Ryu/Gief transformer combo at 8:10

notes:
Both characters on the same team are linked to one controller, so the biggest challenge to these types of combos is making sure the characters don’t get in each other’s way. It takes a ton of planning to make something like this work. That’s where emulator features like save states come in handy, so you don’t have to start from the beginning every time you want to test a different finishing sequence.

I’d love to hear about the creative process behind this video. I know a lot of the oldschool kaillera Marvel players have crazy execution, but some of the stuff in this video obviously couldn’t have been humanly possible without save states, etc.
And i bet a lot of this stuff can’t even be tested in regular play, because some of these sequences don’t work at all without help from the other character.
Pretty crazy stuff!
What’s the glitch? I thought it was something with killing them when webbed up like this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tWlYWZY_H9o but several of those combos didn’t have venom or spiderman in them.
also I’m pretty sure you can’t select two Zangiefs on one team without cheating.
Isn’t Mecha Zangief seperately selectable as a secret character?

Nah, that’s only in Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter. In MvC1 and MvC2, You press B,D,DB+K to transform.
